Our adult gymnastics classes are on Wednesdays and supervised by qualified Gymnastics & Trampoline coaches.
Adult Gymnastics Classes 18+
Supplement your usual fitness routine with our adult gymnastics classes which are suitable for complete beginners to experienced gymnasts. It is a great way to socialise, make new friends and keep fit at the same time.
Our qualified coaches are on hand to work with you to help you develop new skills, or if you are more confident you have the freedom to perfect your moves independently.
British Gymnastics membership will be required by your third session.

TIME: 8.15PM - 9.45PM

From 25 January 2025 we have a new adult gymnastics booking system that will remain open even on the day of the sessions. This means that you can either:
Prebook the classes in advance if you know you will be attending
or
You can wait until you arrive at the gymnastics centre and then use the new booking link
Whichever option you choose please ensure you still register your attendance with the Coach at the blue desk by the gymnastics hall before entering.
Please note that:
cash payments on the day WILL NOT be accepted
all bookings are non refundable and non transferable regardless of reason for non-attendance.

Class Health & Safety
Adult Gymnastics Rules
All gymnasts attending Adult gym classes must comply with both Club and British Gymnastics guidelines.
Gymnasts under the age of 18 years are not allowed in these classes;
Only those who have paid for the session and are taking part are allowed in the gymnastics hall
No outdoor shoes are allowed inside the gym
no jewellery of any kind is to be worn by participants;
Gymnasts should be bare foot or can wear gymnastics or trampoline shoes. No trainers allowed
Gymnasts must wear suitable clothing, ie leotard, leggings, shorts, tshirt. No denim or clothes with zips, buckles or belts
No food is allowed in the gymnastics hall. water can be kept in the Cubby holes with your belongings
no jumping from one apparatus to another, or using the apparatus in a way for which it was not intended; “Parkour” and “Street-Running” activities are not allowed under the British Gymnastics Insurance. However, limited “freestyle” gymnastics activities are allowed under the guidance of Coach Ian.
no use of the wooden asymmetric bars by adults or persons over 60 kg in weight as this may damage the wood laminate and you would be liable for the cost of replacing a bar damaged by your activities.
no stunt type activities are to be engaged in.
trampolining is to be restricted to that appropriate for gymnastics training and at the level appropriate to the gymnasts ability. Training of trampolining routines is not allowed unless you have a qualified trampoline coach present who is willing to take responsibility for your training. Coach Phil is a qualified Trampoline coach
you must abide by our codes of conduct which are available on the website at www.marriottsgymnastics.com
hand sanisitiser is available in the gymnastics hall and can be used between turns on apparatus

By participating in adult gymnastics class you agree that:
you understand that all bookings are non-refundable and non-transferable regardless for reason of non-attendance
you understand that you are participating at your own risk.
you will not attempt moves that are beyond your capability and will ask a qualified coach present to advise or to assist you in working for any new skills.
you understand that if the coaches believe you to be working unsafely you will immediately stop the activity in question when asked to do so
you will ask for assistance from a coach if you are unsure about any activies.
you understand that the Club reserve the right to cancel bookings / deny entry to the session if you do not comply with Club policies and rules
you must have British Gymnastics community membership by your third class regardless of any gaps in your attendance at the sessions.
