DMT & TRA Spring Series 1
The Spring Series 1 took place on 27-28 April 2019 at Telford International Centre
Day 1
Some excellent results for Marriotts DMT and Trampoline squads.
Omo put down 4 clean passes on DMT (even if there were a couple of accidentally repeated skills!) to finish 2nd, and qualify to the British Championships.
Marshall did 3 excellent passes, but unfortunately a mistake in the 4th saw him miss out on Qualification.
Omo followed up his DMT performance with 3 great routines on trampoline, and finished an impressive 8th place.
Taylor had a bad day at the office on trampoline making mistakes in both routines meaning she was unable to finish either. Hopefully she can make amends on DMT tomorrow!
Star of the day award goes to Gina. Who, after 2 years out of competition, put out 2 great routines, including a brand new skill, to finish 13th in her category.
Day 2
Another great day at the first Spring Event Series Competition of the year.
On the DMT Dani, in her first competition in the top FIG Performance category, absolutely smashed out her passes to finish 2nd and qualify for the British Championships, in the 17-21 age group. Taylor finished 14th in the same group.
Ruth, who has recently joined Marriotts’ training group but represents her home club of Dynamo, put 5 weeks of honeymoon behind her and returned to the sport with a bang, taking the silver medal in the senior ladies category, qualifying to British Championships along the way.
On trampoline Marshall has stepped up to the top level of FIG Performance this year and put down 3 steady routines to finish in 13th position. An excellent start to his season.
