DMT National Age Group Finals
This weekend was the National Age Group Championships for our DMT gymnasts.
There were medals galore in the senior categories for Marriotts. Omo taking home the silver, and Lewis the bronze in the Senior Mens event. Ruth getting a very well deserved bronze in the Senior Womens event.
Marshall unfortunately made a few mistakes in the final to finish in 8th place also in the Senior Mens.
Danielle H, who only got the call to compete on Tuesday (she was reserve for this competition following earlier qualifiers), worked gallantly to put together passes with very little preparation and finished 15th in the Senior Womens.
Danielle S keeps improving her competition performances as the year moves on and secured an excellent 4th place finish in the 17-21 womens category.
Tom unfortunately sustained a minor injury during podium training, and although he still stood up to try and compete had to withdraw after his first pass. He finished 8th in the 17-21 men. We wish him a speedy recovery.
Finally, Ava has been on a whirlwind ride this season, her first competing DMT, and to have qualified to a National Final is tremendous. Unfortunately some competition nerves saw her make a few mistakes, finishing 11th in the 11-12 girls competition.
